New Art, New Exhibits

Updated: Oct 3

In December of 2021, I had my first solo exhibit at Ocean County Berkeley Twp Library. This exhibit entitled Local Color was a goal of mine for years. The exhibit can still be seen on my YouTube Channel

Upcoming Solo Exhibit in Lavallette

I am now getting ready to hang my second Solo Exhibit at the Ocean County Library in Lavallette, NJ, at the Upper Shores Library. My new exhibit entitled Pieces of Nature will display several of my torn watercolor paper collages, which is my up-cycle of older paintings. I enjoy ripping up and cutting these older pieces into reimagined, somewhat abstract, collages.

Several of my landscape watercolors, based on my environment will also be on display. The library is open 9-5, Monday - Saturday. This exhibit will hang the month of October.

Mona Lisa

Mona Lisa Torn

This past spring, I entered one of my watercolor collages into a juried exhibit at Monmouth University Arts. This exhibit Mona Lisa Reimagined, was the inspiration I need to create Mona Lisa Torn. My torn paper collage, made of recycled watercolor paintings is made up of three older pieces. I was honored to be accepted into this exhibit which had international entries.

Mona Lisa Torn is now being shown at Pine Shores Art Association in Manahawkin, NJ. This exhibit entitled Fabulous Fakes, was a perfect place to show Mona again. My Leonardo fake is in good company among Van Gogh and other amazing takes on the masters. This exhibit is on display through October.

GSWS Juried Exhibit

Dragon Fly Flight

My Dragon Fly Flight Watercolor was on exhibit at the D & R Greenway in Princeton for most of the summer. The exhibit was entitled Migration: Movement for Survival, and it contained various versions on the artists' vision of the topic that were on display. The exhibit can be seen on the GSWS website.

Whale Tale

Senior Art Exhibit

The Ocean County Senior Art Exhibit was held during the spring and early summer. My entry entitled Whale Tale, was awarded first place in the professional Watercolor category. This painting is now being displayed in the NJ State Senior Art Exhibit. Prizes will be awarded at the luncheon, mid October.

Print Exhibit

It has been a busy year, as this is just a few of the exhibits I have entered. Currently preparing for A Print Exhibit with the women printmakers of Ocean County Artist Guild for the month of November.
